Day 6 of the 12 Days of PXmas moves to Córdoba, a city we have visited on 5 occasions now.
Today we are going to recommend a few things to see or do in Córdoba that we have enjoyed during these visits.
The Mezquita Cathedral de Cordoba
This is the number one tourist attraction in the city and a must visit. It truly is an amazing place.
Cocktails at Glacé Lounge Bar
A visit to see José Ropero López and his team. We 1st met José back in March thanks to our dear friend Isa and have been back 2 further times this year. He is a genius when it comes to creating drinks with a lot of his focus on using wines from Montilla-Moriles in many of them.
A walk across the Roman Bridge
Located near the Mezquita spanning the Guadalquivar river it is well worth a wander across to see the old city from a new viewpoint.
The Annual Cata del Vino Montilla-Moriles
This is held annually in April over a period of 5 days with this years edition being the 34th. More than a 1/3 of the bodegas of Montilla-Moriles take part accompanied by tapas and other traditional dishes from local restaurants and tabernas. We attended our 1st Cata this year and look forward to attending next year’s Cata.
We have had some fantastic hospitality and culinary experiences some of which we will still have to review in more detail: –
Restaurante Sociedad Plateros María AuxiliadoraRestaurante El Churrasco
We are very much looking forward to our 6th visit in January 2018 catching up with old and new friends.
